What is HVOF and
its benefits?
HVOF (High Velocity Oxygen Fuel) is a thermal spray process used to improve or restore the surface properties and/or dimensions of a component. The process creates a super dense coating by applying high temperature molten material fed through a high velocity gas stream which impacts and adheres to a substrate material. In turn, providing extremely high bond strengths relative to the chemistry of material being applied; such as various carbides and metals/alloys. These coatings work to enhance thermal efficiency, coefficient of friction, sliding wear and corrosion resistance power and the longevity of components.
